The Russian Machines corporation was established in 2005 to unite Basic Element's Manufacturing Sector assets.

Russian Machines is a diversified corporation, with industrial and engineering assets in sectors like automotive, automobile components, railway engineering, aircraft building, road construction machinery and equipment for the armed forces.

Russian Machines is a strategic investor, one that operates with long-term goals in mind and looks to maximize both asset value and control over businesses in the key sectors of machinery manufacturing.

Russian Machines aspires to secure the stable growth of the value of the company by systematically introducing fundamental improvements into its businesses, ones which include:

  • Creation and rotation of the very best practices in the area of production, personnel and environmental protection
  • Constant improvement of sales system and increase in operational efficiency
  • Well-defined development strategy understood and supported by a majority of company employees

The mid-term goal of Russian Machines is to concentrate on the Russian and CIS markets. Equity interest in international corporations may be sought to gain access to new expertise and technologies - for their implementation in domestic markets. The strategic goal of bridging the technological gap between the company and leading international manufacturers is to be accomplished by building alliances with leaders in different segments of the world auto-market, establishing joint ventures, acquiring licenses, as well as purchasing entire industrial-technological facilities for manufacturing one or another model of machinery.

Automobile Production

The GAZ Group is Russia's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer. Its main products are light commercial vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, buses, road construction machinery, engines and fuel equipment.

Automobile components

To develop its autocomponent business in 2006 the Russian Machines established a subsidiary RM-Systems LLC. RM-systems strategy is aimed at attracting modern technologies, developing and acquiring competencies in the assembly and manufacture of key automotive components, creating alliances with leading global producers in order to provide the Russian market with high quality automotive components and spares.

GAZ Group announces 2010 IFRS results

GAZ Group, the largest Russian manufacturer of commercial vehicles, has summed up 2010 results according to the International Financial Reporting Standards. The company finished the year with net profit raising the revenue by 47%, increased sales volumes in all segments and retained leadership of the Russian commercial vehicles market.

Russian Machines and Fritzmeier sign Memorandum of Understanding to create JV

Tver, Russia. 30 May 2011. - Russian Machines, the leading machine-building holding in Russia, and Fritzmeier, the largest manufacturer of cabins for construction equipment and agricultural machinery in the world, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to create a JV in Russia specializing in production of cabins for construction and road-building equipment. The investments in the new production will be more than $50 million.
