UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486, Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL, MICEX-RTS: RUALR), the world’s largest aluminium producer, and China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO) are pleased to announce the operations start of North United Aluminium (NUA, the former Shenzhen North Investments) — the Shenzhen-based joint venture of RUSAL and NORINCO, specializing in aluminium, alloys and other non-ferrous metals trading on the Chinese market.

UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486; Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL; MICEX-RTS: RUALR), the world's largest aluminium producer, is pleased to announce the signing of Memorandum of Understanding with Canada-based Orbite Aluminae, the owner of the unique technology for the extraction of metallurgical alumina and rare-earth elements from aluminous clay. The Memorandum, signed during RUSAL delegation's visit in Québec, foresees the possibility of creation of a joint venture to develop the aluminous clay deposit, owned by Orbite Aluminae, located in Grande-Vallée, near Murdochville town in the Province of Québec in Canada, and a construction of an alumina refinery. RUSAL may also get exclusive rights to use the respective alumina production technologies in Russia after its necessary adaptation to Russia-specific ores.
